Trends in employee benefits: What benefits are most attractive to job applicants?

When considering a job, applicants are motivated by various factors beyond just salary and job description. Employee benefits, including non-monetary perks, play a significant role in attracting and retaining talent. Based on our interview experiences, we have identified the most sought-after benefits in different categories:

HEALTH

Health-related benefits are highly valued by employees. These may include contributions to supplementary pension savings, reimbursement for recovery stays, and sick days for taking time off due to health issues. Many companies offer multisport cards, providing discounts on sports activities, fitness centers, and wellness treatments. In the era of Covid-19, employers often provide vitamin packages and organize health-related events. Some organizations also offer internal counseling services to support employees during challenging life situations.

FAMILY

Family benefits are particularly appealing to employees with families or those planning to start one. Examples of family benefits include financial contributions for the birth of a child or non-financial packages for expectant parents. Companies may also provide reimbursement for children's summer camps or organize family-oriented company events such as Family Day.

CULTURE

Culture-related benefits cater to individuals who enjoy arts and social events. Employers may offer opportunities for employees to attend theater performances, concerts, cinema screenings, and other cultural activities.

WORK FROM HOME

The option to work from home, commonly known as remote or home office work, has gained popularity in recent years. Both employees and employers benefit from this arrangement, as it provides flexibility, cost savings, and reduces disruptions caused by factors like sickness or other restrictions.

OTHERS

There are several additional benefits that employees find appealing. These include financial contributions or gifts for life and work anniversaries, allowances for accommodation or transportation, extra vacation days, language courses, and opportunities for skill development such as IT or communication training. Some companies offer employee discounts on their products, creating favorable purchasing opportunities.

These are just a few examples of the most attractive benefits in the job market today. It's important for employers to consider a comprehensive range of benefits that align with their employees' needs and preferences in order to attract and retain top talent.
